Sure, You’re Busy, but With a Little Creativity, You Can Keep Moving

Why is it that, with the arrival of summer, you suddenly seem to have less time? Well, for one thing, your social life probably picks up. Summer is the time for outdoor parties, backyard barbecues, and just plain, old-fashioned get-togethers, and if you have kids, their social life has probably picked up too. Plus, if you have a yard, it probably needs your attention on a regular basis. If you also work, by now, you’re probably starting to feel a bit stressed, wondering how you’re going to manage to keep up with your exercise regimen. Without question, exercise is good for you, but you have to keep it up to experience the full benefits. If you don’t, sure, you’ll affect your body, but your brain will be negatively affected as well. You’ll have less endurance, your muscles will shrink, and you’ll gain weight. But cognitive changes may also affect memory, ability to learn, emotions, and ability to cope with stress. You may have to make some alterations in your fitness regimen, but with a little planning, you can find ways to keep moving and keep getting all those great exercise benefits. Read more…
